BHMDEX designs and builds outdoors structures, including decks, screened porches, pergolas, cabanas, outdoor kitchens, playhouses, hardscaping and anything else imaginable.

Meet The Owner

Blake Bassham

After studying Industrial Design at Auburn University and owning my own design/build firm specializing in retail design, I decided to start building decks after seeing how poorly constructed a friend’s deck was built. In 2019 BHMDEX (Birmingham Decks) was started with the idea of bringing high quality design and construction to the outdoor structure market in Birmingham, AL and the surrounding areas.

We take great pride in being able to work with our clients and create the perfect outdoor space for their family to enjoy. Whether it is a deck, screen porch, cabana, outdoor kitchen, or any other type of outdoor structure, we take the time to listen to our clients and create the best solution to accomplish their goals. We take the time to educate them on the best materials as well as the construction methods of each project.

We want to build a project for you that will last and we are known for our “over-engineering” (especially with our decks). Time and again we have building inspectors that look at the structure of our decks and tell the homeowner how well it is built.
